*Sleeping Baby

I walked into Madi's room this morning to check on her and this is how I found her! I love it when babies do this. This is the first time I have found her like this, but it was cute. Of course I took a picture of it!!

*Play date

Today Madison had her "official" first play date! My good friend Wenona had a baby, Autumn, two weeks after Madison was born. Today we meet at the park to play. It was really fun to see the together again. We haven't gotten together since the babies were just a couple mouths old. Madison looked like a giant compared to Autumn. Autumn has a big sister Ava (who is 2 -Madi thought Ava was great!), so she knows how to play with other kids. Madi , on the other hand, was a little intimidated at first. It was fun to watch Autumn and Madi watch each other! It was also really nice to sit and talk to another adult human. Wenona is amazing.. she is finishing up her nursing degree while being a mom to two beautiful babies and a teen-ager! I have a hard time getting dressed in a day and this girl is running circles around me! Oh well... we all need our heros! Here's a couple pictures from our day! Thanks Nona... it was fun! Let's do it again soon!

*Eight Months Old!!!

Eight months ago today I was in the hospital. My life had changed completely, FOREVER!! I can't believe that it has been eight months. Life has gone so quickly. I LOVE BEING A MOM!!! I love every minute of it! It is amazing how quickly she has changed. I am amazed at all that she can do. She is just seconds away from crawling. She already tries to pull herself up. She is a pro at gurgling. She loves to give me raspberries on my arms. I love her laugh and she has such a sweet smile. She is such a happy baby! Everyone comments on how content she is. This is quickly changing I have noticed this past week. She is starting to know what she wants and when she is not getting it!! :) This poor child... she has been photographed and photographed and photographed!

This morning as I was talking a walk with Sadie and Madi, I was thinking just how lucky I am. I had always wanted to stay at home with my children. This didn't look like it would be a possibility. At the end of my maternity leave I went to go and talk to my boss. I had a very strong feeling that I needed to quit and stay home with Madison. How grateful I am that I have been able to do this. I am lucky enough to be able to work part-time at my job -- working two half days in the office, and than working each day a few hours from home. Plus I have been so blessed to be able to do transcription for the eye doctors that I used to work for. I am so grateful for both jobs, and the fact they allow me to spend so much time with Madi. Finances have been really tight! However we have not gone without anything! We have had major cut backs, we pay a few late fees along the way, but we are making it. I know the only way this has been able to happen is because we pay our tithing! The Lord has always provided for me, and He continues to do so. I love spending time with Madi. We don't have to do anything at all to make it a great day with her. We sit on the couch and snuggle. We laugh and make funny faces. Could I be any luckier? A great husband, a beautiful daughter, and a super pooch!! What more could I need? I have everything I need (for right now! Brice you know exactly what I mean! So stop thinking it!)

Today Brice came home from work and we loaded the dog and the babe into the car and went up American Fork canyon to our favorite lake. As soon as Sadie found the water she was as happy as a clam!! We walked around, found some rocks, ate some chips, had a bottle then came home! It was a great day! Could we do it all again tomorrow? Yep! I can! I LOVE MY LIFE!

*That time of year again

Sadie has so much fur. So we decided to shave her again this year. She was really good about it! She is so much easier to bath too! She looks like a little puppy again! I love this little puppy!

*Seven Months

Can it really be true? Seven months have come and gone! Madison is so much fun. She is really coming to life. She is getting really good at sitting up on her own. She still doesn't love eating solids...although she is getting better at it! She loves to laugh! She thinks her tongue is the coolest thing and it is constantly hanging out of her mouth! She is getting to the point where she is excited about the dog. Just doesn't like HER tongue, when she gets kissed by Sadie. She is so much fun. I love being a mom. There isn't a better job to have!

Whenever I take Madison's picture Sadie has a fit! She hates that she is not the center of our attention and always has to get in on things. It was really cute this time, she just came right up and laid down behind Madi. It was funny! Madi loves her and Sadie loves Madi too! They are going to be such great friends!

* 6 Months!!!

HALF A YEAR!!! The time is going so quickly! It seems like just the other day that I found out that I was pregnant. Now here she is, six months old! I am having such a fun time being a mom. She makes me laugh, smile, sigh, hold my breath! I can't get enough of her! I love to watch her sleep. I love to hold her. Dress her. Take her everywhere I go. She is my little buddy! This is her Easter dress. I love it! My mom found it for her. She looks so cute in it too! Can't wait to have her wear it!

*5 Months

I can hardly believe that it's been five months since our little Madison joined our family. She is so much fun! She is such a happy baby! I love each moment that I get to spend with her. She is my little buddy. It doesn't matter who is holding her, if I am in the room she only has eyes for me. Brice will be holding her and she will just follow me around the room with her eyes. Brice will say "She is just dying for you to hold her!" Poor Brice. It makes him so jealous. I keep telling him that before we know it she will be a daddy's girl, so I have to enjoy this while it lasts. Madi... I love you so much. You have changed my life in ways that I never imagined possible. Thank you for letting me be your mom. I love you baby!
