*Cousins

Recently I have reconnected with my father's brother, Chris. I haven't had much interaction with this uncle since my father was killed in 1984. It has been really great getting to know my uncle, and my dad (through my uncles eyes/memories). Anyway, Drea and her little boy Jake were up from CA for the month. Uncle Chris texted me one evening and asked if we could go to lunch today. It was really fun to see everyone. Drea's little boy just turned one and Chris' daughter-in-law has a one year old as well. It was fun to see them all together, and Uncle Chris is so cute with all of them! I would really like to get to know this side of the family! Hopefully at Christmas we will all be able to get together again! Anyway..just thought I would add this picture.

*Ten Months and counting....

Where has the time gone? My sweet little Madison is getting so big! It is so fun to watch her grow. I love her sweet little personality. She has such a fun little laugh and smile. I love being her mom. She is still very much a mommy's girl, but she loves her daddy to! She get so excited when Brice gets home. If he doesn't immediately hold, kiss and acknowledge her she gets upset. She is so curious about everything! She is going to start walking any minute now. She has a two more teeth that are coming in for a total of six. She loves to be awake and can hardly slow down for a nap. She gets her stubborness from both her father and I so we are really in for a wild ride! She is very determined already! She has out grown my little home make-shift photo studio so now I have to find new places for her pictures. I have so much fun being her mom! Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from our photoshoot! It was fun and she is such an easy model to photograph!

*Get togethers

Tonight I had a BBQ with some girls that I used to work with. It was really fun! Fun to get together and see each other. Meet husbands and kids. Two of the girls have moved off to AZ. The rest of us are here and enjoying all the troubles life throws to us! It really was a fun night to chat and catch up! Thanks girls.

This morning as I was getting ready I looked out of my bathroom to see Madi standing next to Sadie looking out my bedroom window. Totally cute! So I ran downstairs to find my camera. Grabbed my camera bag and headed back upstairs. Open the bag, battery and flash card were out of the camera. So I put those in the camera. Then went to take the lens cap off, no lens! Get the lens on and aim.... No dog. By that time Sadie was sitting at my feet looking up at me! It really was cute! So I took a picture of Madi standing there!

Tonight when we got home from running some errands I was out front watering my flowers. I was holding Madi. Brice had taken some stuff inside and came out with Sadie. Brice and Sadie started ruff-housing around in the front yard. This happens often and Sadie LOVES it. Well tonight was no different. Sadie was chasing Brice, Brice would than chase Sadie. Sadie runs for a minute and then as if on cue lays down for a belly rub. Well...Sadie was on her back and Brice was growling at her while rubbing/scratching her belly. Madi had been watching the whole procedure. As Brice was growling and rubbing Sadie's belly Madi started to fuss. As Brice continued to pretend to get Sadie Madi grew more concern until she cried out! It was as if she was saying "Daddy... stop hurting my puppy!" They really are cute together. Sadie will lay on the floor and let Madi crawl all over her. She lays there patiently as Madi pats her belly, pulls her ears, squeezes her nose and lips. What a great dog Sadie is. I am so grateful for both of my babies!!!
